Julian Assange's mother Christine has demanded action, not just talk, from Foreign Minister Kevin Rudd.
Ms Assange hand-delivered an eight-page handwritten letter to Mr Rudd's Brisbane electorate office on Friday evening, also reading it to journalists.
While she spared some praise for Mr Rudd for his words in support of her son, Wikileaks founder Julian, she said he had failed to act on them.
